My Name be Jonathan Enns, I have dual citizenship (Canada/Brazil) and was born and grew up there until I moved to Nova Scotia on September 10, 2001. Im an Entrepreneur by trade. More about my "entrepreneurial" tendencies here. Written Words | Testimony | FAQ Past Times Growing up in Goias, Brazil attending an American School allowed me to have some unique childhood memories, and gave me experiences which brought me to where I am today. Being 3 years younger than my sister Gina, I followed her footsteps and began 1st grade at Vianopolis High School, an hour away from my hometown of Anapolis (approx 300,000 pop, www.anapolis.go.gov.br). This was a American MK school for kids of New Tribers (www.ntm.org). I lived on campus with my friends, and grew up half Brazilian and half American. There are limitless stories of which words can tell about experiences growing up here ranging from journeys on bike over hills, through rivers, forests, and valleys in order to reach "The Peak", to midnight raids on the girls dorm, to school camping trips, building forts, playing sports, youth group, and much more. The words "Boarding School" tend to scare the average North American who usually thinks of the 40's Hollywood idea of a cruel place where children work all day long and are beat with sticks, however I believe I have had one of the best childhoods a kid could have. The school was small, and everyone knew eachother and you developed close friendships with nearly everyone there...well at least you tried to. In 1997 I visited Canada for the second time, as my family spent a 1 year furlough there, returning again to Brazil in '98. I spent the turn of the Millenium with friends in South Brazil watching a skyload of exploding projectiles, and letting a few off myself. A year and three quarters later due to personal reasons our family moved permanently to Nova Scotia, Canada. The morning after arriving in Canada I received news that NYC and Washington were attacked by terrorists. The day became rightfully known as September 11th. That aside, I jumped into the school year immediately at Colchester Christian Academy in Truro, NS, and spent my 8th and 9th grades there. For work I spent time at Porters Equine Centre in Stewiacke caring for the horses, and I also started my first business, Dimensity Web Enterprises (www.dimensity.net). Summers were spent usually helping out at Mount Traber Bible Camp (www.mounttraber.org). The next year I attended South Colchester Academy in Brookfield, NS, and I also was hired as a Baker at Tim Hortons. It was also at this time that I started my second business, Power Audio (www.poweraudio.ca). I spent the rest of my High School here until completion in February of 2006. Not to long after, I started a job working as an Air Transport Ramp Agent at the Halifax International Airport. Although I enjoyed the job, and the money wasn't too bad I left not to long after for a sales position with Vector Marketing. This brings me to where I am now. Present Happenings Please visit my blog for whats going on. Future Plans? Well as I said I am going to school in the fall of 06 at Word Of Life. After that? Well I have some direction of where my life may take me. I have aspirations of becomeing an entrepreneur, and on top of Dimensity and Power Audio would like to get S&E Imports started (www.seimports.ca). This store will have imported foods, drinks, and chocolates...specializing in Brazilian product. Now with my interests in business I am looking at getting my BA in Business. However I also am being felt lead into Youth Ministry. Therefore I am looking at several different post secondary institutions which may offer things in one or more of those areas. This includes Atlantic Baptist University (www.abu.nb.ca), where I can get my Youth Leadership Certificate free, when taking my BA in Business Administration; Briercrest (www.briercrest.ca) which offers good courses in Business and Youth Ministry; New Brunswick Bible Institute, which offers a great 1-4 years in Bible and missions, or Word Of Life Bible Institute in Owen Sound, Ontario (www.wolbi.ca), which offers some great Bible programs as well as many ministry orientated courses. So after a decision is made, I will devote at least 1-6 years at any one or two of these institutions. After that? Well it all depends on decisions I make in the next while, and where God leads. Anything can change, however I really do see Youth Ministry in the future, and who knows what will happen in my business careers.
