This is the oldest church in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. It was built in 1894 entirely by volunteers under the direction of Fr. Poitras. It served as a school as well from 1901-1903.

The floors oddly had half a dozen dead birds scattered around the room, and everything was covered in bird droppings :)

11 miles east, 2 north of Rowley I came across an abandoned schoolhouse, Springwater School.

The local farmers hired a man named Mr. Shields, who was a stone mason, to engineer the building of the school. It was built of stone found in the area and completed in 1922. The school was named Springwater because of several springs in the area. Ten students were present on opening day. The first teacher was Mrs. P. Manchester. The school remained open until June, 1942

Process to make a clone photo:
1. Set up a tripod to take photos from identical location/viewpoint
2. Simply take two pictures (in this case...lots. Jason didn't like acting like he was being hit by water.)
3. Open one up Photoshop or GIMP
4 Open or Drag the second photo into your layers panel (you should now have 2 layers)
5. Make sure the top layer has an alpha channel (This means that if you erase, it goes to clear instead of white).
6. Get a soft brush, then simply erase on the top layer, revealing the sneaky subject on the bottom layer. TIP: if you slide the opacity bar for the top layer, you can see a bit of each so its easier to find where you need to erase, then when you are done erasing, put it back at 100%.

As far as the colors go, it is cross processed using the curves tool on each individual color (Red, Green, Blue). I'll write on this later...
